Birthday Brunch

On Sunday, we went to Wildfire to celebrate birthdays for Grammy, Grandpa & Sam.  We had our own room, so it was nice to have a little separate area where we could walk around and chat.

Connor did really well while waiting for the food by coloring and playing with Grammy & Aunt Julie.

He helped everyone open their gifts because, well, it's always his birthday too!

Caylee woke up for a bit, so everyone took turns holding her in her party dress!

I picked out this question mark candle since we were celebrating 3 different birthdays.  When Connor saw it, he pointed to it and said, "Mickey Mouseketools!" He's constantly shocking me with the funny and smart things he figures out!

Hanging out with Mama

I love spending time with Caylee every day.  We're always busy and it's so nice to be off of work for awhile.  Sometimes I wonder if we don't spend enough "quality time" together, but it's hard when she doesn't do much besides sleep and eat.  I love watching her sleep in weird places like this with her best bud, Kitty.

Multitasking mama!  Sewing and babywearing at once!

These little slippers are so freaking cute, so I figured I'd get some use out of them before they get too small.

LOL, she reminds me of an 80s aerobics instructor here!

Our Week

Caylee was a great little helper for her first house project!  Daddy and I worked on recovering our kitchen chairs while she slept on the floor by us.

You know you have a baby that loves to sleep when there's a staple gun going off a foot away from her and she doesn't wake up!

While this was going on, Connor was at Grammy & Grandpa's house reading books in his favorite outdoor spot.

Grammy also pulled out some of her music so they could sing songs together at the piano.  It was so cute to watch them sing together!

On Monday, Grandpa came over with dinner and helped with the kiddos while Daddy was at basketball.  He wanted to take photos of Caylee with his phone and she did a great job of posing for him.

We actually don't have a cute "after bath in a hooded towel" photo yet, so I wanted to get one this week.  Caylee has become quite the spitter like her big brother, so she's been extra stinky and needs lots of baths!

I made funfetti ice cream during the week and Connor got to try some after dinner one day.  He loved it!

On Friday, we met Aunt Teri & Uncle Mark for dinner at RAM when they were visiting from Indiana.  Connor shocked all of us by eating a plate full of carrots while we waited for dinner! His face makes it look like he didn't like them, but he ended up pushing them away, and then eating them all a few minutes later!

Girly Girl

She looked so cute today in her new dress that I had to take some photos of her!

Pretty little girl!

And my fave outtake of her trying to breastfeed with the grass...

Chevron Diaper Changing Mat

Although diaper changing has become quite a mess lately, we have a cute place to do it!

I love the new wipe-able mat that I made her!  It's way cuter than the hospital pads we were using and I can just wipe it clean when it gets dirty.

Angry Headband Model

The new headband I made is super cute, but she wasn't very happy to let me take photos with it the other day...

We'll try again sometime soon!

STTN!

6 weeks old and slept through the night for the first time!

Happy Mama :)

Our Week

On Monday, I took Caylee to pick up Connor from daycare.  He was so adorable when he told his friends, "Be gentle to my baby!"

I told Connor that I had a special surprise for him because we were going to watch Dada play basketball!  He actually did really well and we made it through about 75% of the game before he asked to go home.  He loved watching Dada run and shoot when I would point it out to him.

On a trip to the mall, I caught Caylee in the "Thinker" position.  Hmmm, what to buy from Nordstrom...We exchanged an outfit for a different size to fit in the correct season and grabbed a little gift for Ant Julie's birthday.

Wednesday, we went for my post-partum check-up and I got this cute pic of us holding hands in the waiting room.  On a good note, the doctor said I'm healed and I'm down to pre-pregnancy weight!

On Thursday night, we took our usual walk to the playground.  Connor now asks Dada to take photos of us on the slide every time we go!

This is one of my favorite new things Connor is going.  It's one of his first pretend games, so it's adorable!  One person goes behind the wall and then we take turns ordering food and serving it.  He likes to take orders from both of us, so we switch off behind the wall.

Little Miss Blue Eyes!

On Friday, we took Connor to Toys R Us for the first time.  I don't think he even realized that it was filled with toys because we told him we were only going to look at "big kid bikes."  Dada wanted to stop in the aisle with the cars, so Connor got in his favorite to model for me.

On Saturday, I was able to go to sports class with Connor after missing the last two.  He's so great on the ladder and was one of the only kids who didn't need help!

Little Princess posing with the boppy!  I used to put Connor like this right after all his feedings and this was the first time she didn't cry when I tried it.

A special shopping trip for Connor!  On the way in, we saw a fire truck and the fireman was nice enough to give Connor a hat and badge!  He offered to let us sit in the truck, but Connor got scared.  Modeling his new hat, we got him his own shopping cart and he loved helping us pick out food!
