Caylee - Week 2

Time is flying by now that she's almost done with her second week!

We got this adorable little ballerina outfit and I hurried to wash it and out it on her because it was so cute!  The hat even stayed on her for most of the day :)  The timing was perfect because Daddy and I just had a discussion about how I can't wait for her to take ballet classes like I did.

Look at those little ballet shoes!

Her eyes still stayed closed for most of the week and she just started to open them a little more by Friday.  I got a few quick pics during a diaper change of those dark blue/gray eyes.

On her due date (June 23), I did a little photo shoot on the green to commemorate the day.  She's wearing Connor's adorable apple outfit and I added the white bow to make it a little more girly.  I love her little smile here!

And some snuggling in bed in the afternoon...

I think the thrush is under control now and nursing is getting less painful.  She's eating about every 3-4 hours, although she went more like 2-3 over the weekend.  She's sleeping about 4 hours at a time each night, so I usually only have to wake up once.  One night, she slept 6 hours!  Mommy loves you!  Her spitting up is starting to get a little worse like Connor did, so I'm trying to work on burping her more. Overall, she's such a good baby!  I really am lucky to have two babies who were very easy and low maintenance...and pretty cute!

Maternity Photos

I'm so excited to finally have these!  We had a wonderful time taking them and our new photographer is so talented!

Our Weekend

Connor went to his first sports class on Saturday.  Tumbling just ended, so the timing is perfect for something new and he can do this one with Daddy.  I went with and sat on the side with Baby Caylee.  As all the little toddlers walked in, I couldn't help but "Awww!" at how cute they were!  They sat in a big circle and did stretches, then they did a group activity with the parachute (Connor was scared), and then they broke off into groups for little stations.

Connor spent most of his time at the basketball station, but he also did a little tumbling and baseball.  At the end of the class, they had all the parents line up on one side and the kids on the other.  They counted to three and then told the kids to run to their parents.  20 little toddlers running across a gym while giggling is the cutest thing ever!

Caylee and I drove separately so we could run right to our next date at for lunch and mani/pedis.  We met Grammy, Julie & Gail at Panera for a quick lunch, and then headed to the spa.  Caylee was a big hit with all the women there and she got to experience her first "mani/pedi" that day.

She was pretty much passed out the entire time, but it was cute!

All the girls with pretty nails!

And after such a long day of fun, everyone snuggled in the bed together :)

Caylee's First Restaurant

It's been awhile since we've been able to do our normal Friday routine of dinner and the grocery store.  On Friday, we started back up again...with an additional family member!  We decided on Friday's since it's pretty kid-friendly and close to the grocery store.  As expected, she slept through the whole thing, but she did get some admirers that stopped by to see how tiny she was.

Not much to show in pictures since she slept the whole time, but I wanted to document it anyway.  Our grocery store trip went surprisingly well with Connor walking and Caylee in the shopping cart.  Hopefully, we can continue with that routine!

First Bath

Last week, we asked Connor to help us with Caylee's first bath.  I showed him photos of him in his blue bathtub when he was a baby.  I don't think he really understood, but he knew he was in the photos.

Daddy did most of the washing and soaping while I entertained Connor on the floor with books.  We wrapped her up in her new pink towel to dry her off.

A few minutes after the bath, I remember the best part of baby baths: fuzzy hair!
(And they smell great!)

Father's Day

Since Caylee came 2 week early, we weren't expecting her to be here for Father's Day! But she made her appearance early and we were lucky to have all out family around to celebrate.

She wore her "I love Daddy" onesie just for the special day!

My loves

Connor brought this home from daycare and I just about cried when I saw it.  It's so adorable and I love that they did this especially during a week when I was so tired, busy and emotional.

This is the most hilarious interview with Connor and I laugh every time I read it!

In the afternoon, Nana, Papa, and Aunt Julie came over to see Caylee.

And one final shock of the day when Nana brought over a photo of Grammy as a newborn in the hospital and put it next to the photo of Caylee.  Wow!

One Week Old

We went for our first pediatrician visit on Monday at 6 days old.  She's 6 lbs, 12 oz. and doing great!  She's eating every 3-4 hours, so she's almost back up at her birth weight.

Lots of sleeping pictures! She only opened her eyes for a few minutes each day.

Love this one!

Caylee's first walk to the park

On our way to get newborn photos done in some ducky pajamas

So peaceful! She sleeps for about 3-4 hours at a time, so that's not too bad for me.  I get up once or twice during the night to feed her and she nurses for about 30 minutes.  She falls asleep every minute or two, so it's quite a struggle to keep her awake enough to eat.  I constantly tickle her neck, feet, and tummy to wake her up!

Her umbilical cord stump fell off at a week old.  I left her here to grab a new shirt after she spit up and when I came back the stump was sitting next to her!
