Kite Fest & Farmer's Market

It was FREEZING on Sunday morning, but we made a short stop at the Kite Fest and Farmer's Market.  Mama and Dada definitely did not dress warm enough, and neither did Caylee, but Connor was all bundled up and ready to play!

It was really windy, so only a few kites were able to practice in the morning before the fest started.

We walked around the Farmer's Market, but we had to go through it really quickly since it was so cold.  Connor spotted people blowing up a giant tiger bounce house and kept pointing it out.  He's usually scared of them, but he wanted to go over to see it.  The man working there said it wasn't open yet, but then he let Connor on early!  It was actually really nice because he got to go on alone and he could get comfortable by himself.

A few short minutes and he was done!  But I'm proud of him for doing it!

Connor-isms

Connor to Mama: I'm not bigger.  I'm small.  You big!

Connor to Mama: I like your necklace.

Reading Richard Scarry's Best Word Book...

Me: Connor, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Connor: A fireman...Mama, you're going to be a doctor.
Me: Oh, really?  What's baby sister going to be when she grows up?
Connor: A lion.  Rar!

Connor: School today?
Daddy: No, no school.  It's a holiday.
Connor: Birthday?
Daddy: No, not a birthday.  Just a holiday.
Connor: There's a holiday in my bed!

While getting into his Cozy Coupe...
Connor: I'm ready to roll!

Mama: What do you do if you see a stranger?
Connor: You say NO! [points finger]

While sitting in his Cozy Coupe...
Connor: I like the music in my car.
Mama: What kind of music?
Connor: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

I'm not stinky! I'm a big boy!

When I get bigger, I take YOU to school!

When I get bigger, I turn on the tv!

While playing with Legos...
Connor: We're not building...we're choo-chooing!

Reaction to my scarf...
Mama, you look like a snowman!

Aunt Julie's Birthday

Aunt Julie & Kiley had a 30th birthday party on Saturday night and Caylee got to come with for her first "big girl" party!  First, we ate dinner at an Italian restaurant.  Caylee ate her dinner too, so I didn't get much to eat :)

A shot of us on the road to the bar...

When we got to the bar for the party, we decorated the room and took some photos...

Miss Caylee in her party dress and pink hair bow!

She loved watching Julie open her gifts!

She was passed around the room as everyone wanted a chance to hold the "baby in the bar." She got so many compliments on how quiet she was and I just told everyone how she's my little accessory and I take her everywhere with me.  She doesn't make a peep!  I was socializing and drinking, but turned around to find Uncle Sam taking a turn at holding her!  Awww!

Our Week

Caylee got her first cold after only 2 weeks at daycare :(  Poor girl has been snorting and she's all stuffed up, but fortunately, she's still sleeping through the night.

Connor got to try out his new Mickey headphones this week and he loves them!  Now we don't have to listen to Mother Goose Club and he feels like a big boy!

My loves hanging out in bed!

Look at that smile!  She's starting to play with her toys on her bouncy seat here and this was the first day I really noticed it.

Connor and Daddy read a new ABC book about bugs before bed one night.

On Friday, we celebrated Connor staying dry all week at daycare!  He got to pick out a Lightning McQueen car at the store!  He also begged to go to dinner and Target in just his undies, so we agreed to try.  He did awesome...until 20 seconds after I took this photo and he peed on our walk to the car!  So close!

Caylee's new favorite hobby is chewing on her hands.  That girl needs her pacifier or hands in her mouth all the time!

Our Weekend

We promised Connor that we could open up another one of his birthday gifts, so he picked his new Batman puzzle from Aunt Julie & Uncle Sam.

This turned out to be a lot harder than we expected since the colors were the same throughout the entire puzzle, but he was able to do all 48 pieces with a little help from us.

Yay!  He was so proud when he finished it!

On Sunday, we did a little coloring in our bedroom in the morning.

He even invited me to color with him on the other side of the book.

Then we headed over to his friend, Keanu's, birthday party!  All his friends from daycare were there, so it was really fun to see them play in another setting.  Connor surprised me by eating pizza and 2 helpings of grapes for lunch.

He was a little nervous to play on the indoor treehouse at first, but he quickly warmed up and had a blast playing with his friends!

Our Week

Connor opened up one of his new birthday toys which was a Crayola  coloring set with markers that only work on the special paper.

It might have only lasted for a short time, but I love coloring sessions!

Spitting has gotten worse in the last week or two, so there's lots of baths needed for this little girl!

Passed out after a fun day at school!

Fuzzy, but I had to grab a quick pic of Kitty watching over his baby sister one night.

We were in shock that Connor agreed to try a cheddar sausage with chili and cheese on it for dinner one night.  He saw Daddy eating his and wanted to make one of his own!

Connor and I had a conversation during the week about how Caylee needed some sunglasses and I came across some cheap pairs at The Children's Place when I was out.  So here's her first pair of pink glitter sunnies!

They're a little too big, but they fit on her head!

On Friday, we went to the End of Summer Party at daycare and Connor gave Caylee a pair of sunglasses to wear too.  All the teachers thought it was hilarious!

Connor played in the little Walgreens shopping area during the party.  My little shopper!
