Success! Name Writing

Proud mama!
It look many, many months of begging to get this to happen.  We've been trying different games, apps, coloring books, toys, etc and nothing was really working to get him interesting in writing.  In the past month or so, he started to mention "C for Connor" and that was the beginning.  He wouldn't move past the C.  We knew that he was hiding how much he really knew and this proved it.

I showed him how his name was on his wall and he copied the letters onto his white board.

After that, we worked on how to write the letter N.

It was so cute because the next day, he brought home a bunch of his artwork from daycare and I found a paper that was covered in N markings.  He wouldn't admit it, but I know he was practicing his Ns after we taught him the day before :)

Visiting Papa

On Sunday, we went to visit Papa at his new home.  He just moved in the day before, so they were still getting things set up.  Connor brought some of his art to hang up on the wall.  Caylee brought her smiles!

We took some great family photos to remember the great time.

Our Week

Cutest shirt ever.  He told me he wants to be a baseball player.

Yes, we do!  My favorite shopping partner!

This cracked me up! At least he told the truth, but I'm kind of embarrassed that he said he watched a PG-13 movie.

And these photos were taken about 2 seconds before she grabbed his tail and put it in her mouth...

A normal view in our house...poor kid has his mama's butt!

All smiles, but another ear infection!

I don't know what it is about Sophie, but she's a fan!

Connor wanted to take pictures with my phone and this one actually came out pretty good.

My little genius :)

New Solids

Caylee started trying out a lot of new foods this week besides just purees.  On this day, she had pasta that she gobbled up.  She also tried corn and bread and she loved it all!

Valentine's Day

We woke up and had a "party" right away for Connor.  He got a Shrek DVD and a box of robot chocolates.

When he saw Daddy's Valentine, he got scared for a few seconds and then he thought it was funny.  He carried around that heart box the rest of the weekend!

My loves surprised me with pretty pink tulips!

Connor made an adorable owl painting at daycare that I hung up in the family room.

Caylee brought home some Valentine footprints from daycare too.

After a short morning nap, we headed out for some fun...

I took my Valentine's to an indoor playground so Daddy could have some time to rest.

Connor loved the ball pit!

Caylee napped for most of the time, but she woke up at the end to play and take a few pictures.  Tupac headband for the win!

It's hard to get both of them to post when there's kids playing behind me, but I tried!

In the evening, Connor opened his Valentine package from his grandparents with his very own Minion toys!

He also attempted to feed Caylee in her Kisses bib :)

Our Week & Valentine's Day Prep

Playing with Nana & Rob while visiting Papa

Day 1 of Valentine's Day box prep

Day 2 consisted of covering the box in stickers

Caylee tried puffs for the first time...and then threw up an entire container of yogurt all over herself.  #mess
