Birthday Party Details
Instead of re-typing this, I'm linking to my other blog to show off some of the DIY details and designs I made for the party. I started working on this stuff almost right after Connor turned 1 and it's been really fun to come up with new ideas to add as the year went on. I love making everything match perfectly and I loved seeing Connor's face when he saw it all set up!
The Birthday Party
It was the perfect day with amazing weather and a great group of family and friends that came to celebrate Connor's big day!
Uncle Chad brought squirt guns and the boys had a blast squirting them and drinking out of them. I think they drank out of them more than they actually played with them!

Daddy doing some grilling
Chowing down on a corndog
Showing Emmett his slide
He would not stay still for a family photo, but we tried!
He loved when we sang "Happy Birthday" and I think he knew it was all for him!
Connor even tried to blow out his candles!
Right after he blew them out, he stuck a finger into the blue icing!
Yum! He loved his cake!
The Elmo rings were a big hit with Connor (and Mommy and Aunt Julie)
Connor did pretty well opening presents, but he didn't have very much patience while I read each card.
When he saw the scooter, he got really excited!
He also got a lot of new bath toys which I'm really excited about. He needed some new things to play with in the water.
We let him open one present and play with it that night, so Grady and Connor picked out the counting cookie jar.
The weather was perfect so everyone was outside in the backyard for most of the night.
Finally, a good picture of us!
Connor loved playing with cousin Ryan!
Towards the end of the night, I changed Connor into his jammies and he came back out to give everyone hugs and say thank you for his gifts.
Mommy was exhausted by the end of the night and Kitty was too!
