Our Week

On Monday, I took Caylee to pick up Connor from daycare.  He was so adorable when he told his friends, "Be gentle to my baby!"

I told Connor that I had a special surprise for him because we were going to watch Dada play basketball!  He actually did really well and we made it through about 75% of the game before he asked to go home.  He loved watching Dada run and shoot when I would point it out to him.

On a trip to the mall, I caught Caylee in the "Thinker" position.  Hmmm, what to buy from Nordstrom...We exchanged an outfit for a different size to fit in the correct season and grabbed a little gift for Ant Julie's birthday.

Wednesday, we went for my post-partum check-up and I got this cute pic of us holding hands in the waiting room.  On a good note, the doctor said I'm healed and I'm down to pre-pregnancy weight!

On Thursday night, we took our usual walk to the playground.  Connor now asks Dada to take photos of us on the slide every time we go!

This is one of my favorite new things Connor is going.  It's one of his first pretend games, so it's adorable!  One person goes behind the wall and then we take turns ordering food and serving it.  He likes to take orders from both of us, so we switch off behind the wall.

Little Miss Blue Eyes!

On Friday, we took Connor to Toys R Us for the first time.  I don't think he even realized that it was filled with toys because we told him we were only going to look at "big kid bikes."  Dada wanted to stop in the aisle with the cars, so Connor got in his favorite to model for me.

On Saturday, I was able to go to sports class with Connor after missing the last two.  He's so great on the ladder and was one of the only kids who didn't need help!

Little Princess posing with the boppy!  I used to put Connor like this right after all his feedings and this was the first time she didn't cry when I tried it.

A special shopping trip for Connor!  On the way in, we saw a fire truck and the fireman was nice enough to give Connor a hat and badge!  He offered to let us sit in the truck, but Connor got scared.  Modeling his new hat, we got him his own shopping cart and he loved helping us pick out food!

Our Week

Connor's first piece of pottery!

Grammy came over to put Connor to bed in his new big boy bed and he let her read some books too.

Dada went to tumbling class with us again and Connor was getting more brave about doing the balance beam on his own.

Another visit to the baseball fields to watch the boys play

He took some pregnancy books out of the bookcase and wanted to read them with me :)

A trip walk to the park on his tricycle!  We took the parent handle off and now he can ride all by himself!

Our Week

Naked guitar playing after a bath.  He totally knows that we love with when he dances with the guitar, so he always does it!

Daddy came with us to tumbling class for the first time!  Connor attempted the balance beam all by himself for the first time that night as well!

The kid loves his fruit!  He stole my blueberries and said, "I eat them all!"

Our Week

He's so funny and creative lately!  He wanted to eat a pear, but before he could eat it, he wanted to take a picture of it.

Why? Because the wallpaper on Dada's phone is a picture of him holding a pear.

Last session of tumbling before break!  They got 2 stickers for the last day.

On Saturday, we went to Wildfire with Grammy and Grandpa.  I was a little nervous about taking him to such a nice place, but he did awesome!  Grammy entertained him while we waited for food by playing "This little piggy."

Before he dug in, he said, "I eat all this."

Posing for the camera!

Trying on Grandpa's glasses

He randomly decided he wanted to eat an apple one night.  I let him stay up late just so he could finish it.

He devoured it!  "Mama, lay down!"

This kid cracks me up! I haven't touched this book in 3 years and he pulled it out of the bookshelf.  He's reading up on how to take care of his baby sister :)

Tumbling: Class 2

I'm so excited that Connor is getting into tumbling now!  As soon as Daddy told him he was going on Wednesday, he got happy and started talking about it.  He's such a pro already!  This time, he was even better and sat down with the rest of the class for mat exercises without me right next to him.

They worked on their snake crawl...

His absolute favorite thing that night was this little obstacle course/routine where they practice jumping and then do a summersault at the end.

He must have done the routine at least 20-30 times!  It got down to only him and one other little girl and all the rest of the kids gave up or wandered around, while they kept going!
So proud of my little gymnast!

Our Week

On Wednesday, Connor had his first tumbling class!  I was so excited to see how he would do and I thought it was perfect for him because he's so active.  I'm so proud to say that he did awesome! He seemed to know a lot of the activities they did and he followed along very well.  Most of the kids seemed like they've gone before and they seemed a lot more distracted than him.  I wish it was a little longer than 30 minutes, but it's a nice way to get out and let him have some fun.

There's a little playground in the tumbling classroom that everyone got to play in at the end of class.  He liked the window so he could look at me!

Some painting while eating mashed potatoes at dinner

On Friday, we decided to try a new place for dinner.  It was a little bit of a fail because it turned out to be more of a bar than a restaurant, but he did well.  The Olympic hockey game was on about 40 tvs, but he watched Mickey on the phone to stay calm.

Little cutie!

On Saturday, we went to Emmett's 2nd birthday party.  I think he's starting to understand what birthday and party mean, so he was excited when I woke him up from his nap to go.

Connor and Phil making a birthday cake in Emmett's kitchen

The goodie bag had a kazoo in it and Connor quickly learned how to do it!

On Sunday, we went to Home Depot, the "tool store," where Connor got to ride on some lawn mowers while people laughed as they walked by.  We also picked up a sample paint color for the baby's room!
