Our Week

Our week took a sad turn when we found out great-grandpa died and we had to go to Indianapolis for the funeral.  The kids had a great time with their family since they didn't really understand too much of what was going on.

During the wake, there was a kid's room, so I was able to take the kids away to play.  Caylee loved the kitchen and she found mama's favorite kitchen appliance!

After the funeral, we waited inside the church for everyone, so we played in the little kid's area there too.

The old school toys were pretty exciting for me and Connor loved using the washing machine!

He asked me to take photos of him eating chocolate cake!

On Saturday, once the funeral was over, we had some family time.

Some silly time at home...

Connor asked me to breastfeed his baby.  Heart melted.  Of course, I will!

Caylee figured out how to use her diaper pail.

Our Week

What's better than plating dress up and wrestling while putting away laundry?

Dressing up like Daddy!

Connor begged to play with his new hot potato game and he loved it!

I had to take a picture of Caylee's last night in her mitten jammies before we retired them.  The last little bit of baby :(

Connor started Kindergarten Prep lessons this week at school and they're going to be working on writing and journaling each day.  He brought home the most adorable picture of his family (Connor, Daddy, Mama, tiny Caylee).

Our Week

New Lightning McQueen stickers were a hit! I saw them at the store and couldn't resist.  He's already asked to play with them three times since I brought them home.

Caylee & Grandpa

Connor has been playing "library" a lot recently in our room

Batman shirts!

On Wednesday, Caylee stayed home with Grammy since she had a fever and couldn't go to daycare.  They did yoga...

And took a nap together! Her fever went down, but her cold and cough didn't get better.  On Saturday, I took her to the doctor and found out she had an ear infection in her left ear.  Poor girl :(

Toga party while doing laundry!

Doesn't every brother brush his sister's hair with a pastry brush?

Happy 4th of July!

Good morning, Caylee & Kitty!

Connor must have gotten up early to go fishing and he caught another fish!

Caylee wore her new patriotic dress with her favorite flag and we took some photos outside in the morning.

She went over to Grammy & Grandpa's house to play and even took a nap with Grammy!

I got this text of Connor playing on the blow-up waterslide! I'm sure he wants one for our house now!

After Caylee's nap, Aunt Julie and the two of us went to the craft fair for a bit.  We had the most fun at the baby hairbow booth (of course) and she may or may not have gotten just one new bow.

After that, we headed over to Grammy & Grandpa's again.  So adorable! Kisses for the bear with "bracelets" on!

Playing catch and she loves to share!

Perfect weather for some family photos

Happy 90th Birthday Papa!

Girls Weekend - Day 1!

The first rule of girls weekend is that we sleep late!  I slept until 7 and Caylee slept until 8:30!  She wore her pretty new navy dress, red bow, and white sandals for the party later in the day and I prayed she would stay clean!

We did some shopping in the morning and then came home for a nap and lunch.  While she was napping, I cleaned out Connor closet and realized that my artwork hoarding has gotten a little out of control...

Awake after a good nap!

We had a little extra time before the party, so we leisurely strolled around Walmart.  She perked up as soon as we turned a corner and she saw these!

At one point in the afternoon, I got this pic of Connor and his cousins.  They look really tired after a long morning in the sun!

Caylee and I made one more stop at the store for Mama's beer and then we headed over to the party!

Happy 90th Birthday, Papa!

Dancing with Nana!

A kiss goodbye!

We stayed very late and she passed out!
