Opening Presents and All Partied Out

After a bath to clean off all that yummy birthday cake, Caylee got dressed in her jammies (it got pretty cold out) and we started opening presents!

She got some help from her cousin, Rae...

I'm shocked at how few toys she got, but that's what I asked for.  She got some adorable new summer clothes and additions for her college savings account.

She got a pretty new pink flower hair band that matched her jammies went right on her head!

Aunt Julie & Uncle Sam got her a silver charm bracelet and they want to give her a new charm to add every year on her birthday.  So cute!

Right after presents, she gave everyone hugs and said goodnight to her guests.  Poor girl was passed out within minutes!

Partied out.

Everyone else sat outside by the fire while I cleaned up and eventually went to bed.

Mother's Day Morning

I was surprised on Mother's Day morning with some little gifts on the table at Grandma & Grandpa's house.

Connor gave me a big hug while I read the card that he signed for me.

He made me the cutest tote bag at school!

Caylee made me a footprint canvas at school too.

Dada did something very special and sweet after I went to bed the night before.  He fixed the crayon sign that Connor broke a couple months ago.  I was heartbroken and cried when he broke it, so Dada stayed up late and redid it for me.  Connor promised he wouldn't break it again, so it went back up in his room this week.

Dada made passion fruit mimosas for breakfast, so Caylee and I had matching orange drinks!

My Birthday

Let's ignore the fact that this was the worst birthday I've ever had.  Between getting mastitis, a cold, my mac dying, everyone forgetting my day, etc., it was pretty bad.  These photos capture the short amount of time that was sweet and I enjoyed.

Connor was very upset in the morning because he didn't want to leave the house.  He was afraid he would miss my party!

When he got home from daycare, he insisted that we make it a real party.  I felt absolutely awful, but I dug out some party napkins, balloons, noise makers, etc. to make it feel more like a birthday.

I could hardly even sit up, but I had them post on the floor for some pictures.  Caylee was all dressed up in her new jean overall party dress!

Ruffle butt!

They got me a cute card with a picture of a family hanging out on a couch.  Connor pointed out every person in our family on the couch.  He also said he picked out the gift bag...lol, he knows me very well!

Dada let Connor pick out two shirts for me and he did pretty well!  I still need to try them on, but they're cute!  They're also going to get me a pink baseball glove so I can practice baseball with Connor.
And then I went to bed and crashed...

Valentine's Day

We woke up and had a "party" right away for Connor.  He got a Shrek DVD and a box of robot chocolates.

When he saw Daddy's Valentine, he got scared for a few seconds and then he thought it was funny.  He carried around that heart box the rest of the weekend!

My loves surprised me with pretty pink tulips!

Connor made an adorable owl painting at daycare that I hung up in the family room.

Caylee brought home some Valentine footprints from daycare too.

After a short morning nap, we headed out for some fun...

I took my Valentine's to an indoor playground so Daddy could have some time to rest.

Connor loved the ball pit!

Caylee napped for most of the time, but she woke up at the end to play and take a few pictures.  Tupac headband for the win!

It's hard to get both of them to post when there's kids playing behind me, but I tried!

In the evening, Connor opened his Valentine package from his grandparents with his very own Minion toys!

He also attempted to feed Caylee in her Kisses bib :)

Hanukkah at Home - Part 2

Connor opened his new Batman plastic bags and was very excited to use them.  They also came with some new Batman stickers that I found all over the next morning.

The next day, Connor opened his sports dreidels (he's obsessed) and he had a great time playing them with Grammy and Grandpa.

His Superman jammies were a huge hit!  When he put them on, he put his hands on his hips and yelled out, "Superman!"

He helped Caylee open her new Bears onesie for the fall.  Hopefully, they'll be better next year, but I wanted her to have a shirt to match his since he loves his Bears jersey.

Weekend in Indianapolis

After Christmas was over, we spent the rest of the weekend hanging out and visiting with family.  Somehow, we still ended up being super busy and hardly got any time to really relax, but it was nice to see the family.  With Christmas being so crazy, I actually didn't even have a chance to finish opening mine and Caylee's gifts, so Connor helped us open them the next day.

Daddy and Grandpa promised Connor that he could drive his new truck since it was warm out.  They put it in the hallway and he had fun putting things in the passenger seat...including his baby sister!

When everyone got dressed, we went outside and he got to drive it down the sidewalk.  He did awesome!  He drove about a block, down to the lake, and then back up to the house.

Caylee had her first taste of mum mums with Grandma.

I don't think she really enjoyed them and she didn't get very much in her mouth, but we'll keep working on it!

On Saturday night, Grandma's extended family came over.  Everyone took turns holding Caylee and complimenting her on how laid back and happy she was.

Connor and Lex got along great and played really well together.

Caylee spent some quality time with her great-grandpa

On Sunday, Daddy found his old Nintendo and taught Connor how to play it.  I was shocked at how old the graphics looked!  Connor did pretty well as I thought back to how much I struggled when I was learning to play and I was much older than him.

Right before we left to go home, Grandma gave Caylee her special bottle of wine to open when she turns 21.  Connor has photos of his bottle of scotch from when he was a baby, so Caylee gets a bottle of wine.

Haha, already loves her wine!
