Hanukkah at Home - Part 2

Connor opened his new Batman plastic bags and was very excited to use them.  They also came with some new Batman stickers that I found all over the next morning.

The next day, Connor opened his sports dreidels (he's obsessed) and he had a great time playing them with Grammy and Grandpa.

His Superman jammies were a huge hit!  When he put them on, he put his hands on his hips and yelled out, "Superman!"

He helped Caylee open her new Bears onesie for the fall.  Hopefully, they'll be better next year, but I wanted her to have a shirt to match his since he loves his Bears jersey.

Family Hanukkah Party

All dress up in her Hanukkah socks and ready to go!

Grammy got a new Connor photo book to add to their collection!  Caylee will have her own to add in 6 months too.

Yum, wrapping paper!

Connor got magnetic fridge phonics to work on his letters.  We're pretty sure he knows a lot more than he shows us, but he needs to keep working on them.

Seriously.  So freaking cute.

This was the big hit with Connor.  His Spiderman robe is adorable!

Caylee got her first purse set complete with a cell phone, keys, etc.  I think Connor actually liked it too!

Aunt Julie & Uncle Sam

Rubber duckies for both of the kids as they get ready to start taking baths together

One of the cutest outfits ever

Connor is really loving dreidels!

I took way too many photos, but it was just so cool to see how mesmerized he was by them.

Doing "Row Row" with Daddy

Precious!  Papa and sleeping Caylee

And after her nap, she was back up for some play time!

And ate some bananas!

Hanukkah at Home - Part 1

This is the first year that Connor really understood enough about Hanukkah to really enjoy it.  He knows what a menorah and dreidel are and he knows that his Grammy & Grandpa celebrate Hanukkah.  I took out some of his Hanukkah decorations so he could get a little more interested when the holiday started.

Caylee had her new princess menorah out on the table too.

For the first night, Connor got to open his biggest gift which was a Mater remote control car and matching socks.

Night 2 was skipped due to bad behavior, but he learned very quickly and was much better after that.  He now knows he has to be good all day if he wants to open Hanukkah presents after dinner.

He got Ice Age and polar bear jammies on this night.  Ice Age was perfect to bring in the car for the long drive to Indianapolis and he loved it!

We finished up our Hanukkah dreidel craft one night.  He insisted on following the picture on the box to make them look perfect.  I was so impressed at how well he did!  All I did was give him the letter and take the backs of the stickers off!

This night was Minion themed, so he got a Minion hat and matching t-shirt.

Minion from head to toe the next day!

Shirtless and opening his Spiderman gifts!  He got a Spiderman hoodie and magic towel!

The magic towel was a big hit once he figured out what it was in the sink :)

Daycare Holiday Party

Friday was the annual daycare holiday party.  I walked in to Connor's classroom to find their question of the day.  (I love these and their answers always crack me up!)

"What would you buy with the money in your piggy bank?"  Connor said a robot which wasn't too shocking, but some of the others were quite amusing!  Soup, college (smart girl!), school bus, etc!

Connor saw the plate of cookies just at his height and HAD to have some.  I loved the Star of David cookies for Hanukkah too.

The arrival of Santa was kept a secret from him because I didn't want to freak him out.  It actually helped that he saw some of his friends sit on Santa's lap first.  By the time Connor finished his dinner, he was one of the last ones to go, so he was pretty casual about it.  Success and no tears for the first time ever!

Caylee spit up all over her cute holiday party outfit, but she was there :)

Remainders of Hanukkah

We got a little behind with Hanukkah gifts because of weather, coming home late, and a crabby kid, so we just opened the rest over the weekend.  When Connor opened up his new window clings, he was SO excited!  "Wow!"

He also got a book about going potty!

I was a little worried that he would be upset when there were no more presents to open, but he hasn't noticed!  He's been enjoying playing with his new toys every night after dinner.

Our Week

As he does every week, Connor spent Sunday afternoon at Grammy & Grandpa's house.  I stopped by to pick him up and he showed me his new stickers he got from Trader Joe's.  He made everyone put a sticker on their nose just like him!

When we got home, we opened a Hanukkah gift.

He got a little yellow digger truck!  Daddy taught him how to put raisins in the shovel part so the truck could carry them around.

On another night, he opened up his snowman hat!

It was too small (darn Dollar Tree), but he was so cute smiling in it!  We'll save it for his baby brother or sister.

Because it didn't fit, Daddy let him open up another gift...

He got a newsboy hat for summer!

On another night, he got some new snow gloves (for building a snowman) and some gardening gloves for helping outside.

During his bath, he asked me to pour water on his head and he thought it was funny.  So this is him thinking he's pouring water on his head...but it's really being poured on his face!
