Our Week

Last Sunday was the first day of football, so we went all out with fun snacks, Bears gear, and some family time together on the couch.  Caylee dug right into the artichoke & cheese dip!

During the 2nd half of the game, I took Caylee over to the pet store where she had a blast playing with the small animals.  She was shrieking so loud when she saw them!

Trying a whole apple for the first time!

What happens when a 4 year old goes into the beer cooler at the store...

Just like Mama with her purse, necklace and baby stroller...

Star sunglasses at the Kite Fest!

So proud that he conquered this all by himself!

Our Week

Best worst laundry helper ever!

Now that she's into everything, she makes laundry pretty difficult.  She was throwing her toys in the baskets, mixing up clothes, and taking things out of piles.  The only positive part was that she found Dada's key to the shed!

A little family time at the park!

Another try on the slide and no tears from Caylee!

We had a couple beautiful days during the week, so we had a picnic dinner in the backyard one night.  While Dada was cooking, we played in the grass and Connor found our shadow.

We also went for a wagon ride...that tummy!

Caylee's First Visit to the Playground

The warmer weather means we can go to the park again! I was excited to take Caylee for her first trip to the park where she could actually try out some of the equipment too.

First time on the slide with her big brother

First time on the swing!

She loved it!  She giggled every time I pushed the swing!

Valentine's Day

We woke up and had a "party" right away for Connor.  He got a Shrek DVD and a box of robot chocolates.

When he saw Daddy's Valentine, he got scared for a few seconds and then he thought it was funny.  He carried around that heart box the rest of the weekend!

My loves surprised me with pretty pink tulips!

Connor made an adorable owl painting at daycare that I hung up in the family room.

Caylee brought home some Valentine footprints from daycare too.

After a short morning nap, we headed out for some fun...

I took my Valentine's to an indoor playground so Daddy could have some time to rest.

Connor loved the ball pit!

Caylee napped for most of the time, but she woke up at the end to play and take a few pictures.  Tupac headband for the win!

It's hard to get both of them to post when there's kids playing behind me, but I tried!

In the evening, Connor opened his Valentine package from his grandparents with his very own Minion toys!

He also attempted to feed Caylee in her Kisses bib :)

Treehouse Play with Aunt Julie

On Saturday, we had a special date with Aunt Julie while Daddy worked on the baby's room.  Right away, Connor wanted to play in the log cabin house.  He loved playing peek-a-boo in the windows!

He started asking me to take pictures of him when he would pop open the window.

He also loved the fire truck that he kept asking us to sit in.

Mama can't fit inside!

Later, he asked for some selfies...

He must have had a blast because he passed out in bed for his nap!

Family Fun on Saturday

It's not very often that we have a completely free day to do whatever we want as a family.  Since it was really cold out, we decided to take Connor to a new play area in the mall that I've heard great things about.  He was a little nervous when we walked in, but we got him to warm up quickly.

He loved playing catch with the giant balls!

And playing soccer too...

They had cute little rides to go on!
He started to notice all the snacks that the other kids were eating, so we headed over to lunch.  Daddy thought he'd love going to Rainforest Cafe to see all the animals, but he was very wrong!  Connor was terrified of all the fake animals and refused to even sit by himself.

This is his "I'm going to murder someone" face.  I don't think I've ever seen him look this upset before!  I really think the fake animals freaked him out and he would have been more comfortable with real animals!

He took a LONG nap after that morning...and I loved that he sleeps the same way I do!

We all made dinner as a family and Connor even got to help give Kitty a little snack.
