Our Week

Valentine's Day window clings are up!  Connor asked where his penguins went and I think he was a little sad when I said that I put them away until next year.  He seemed to enjoy the lips from the Valentine's Day set though.

Ipad obsession continues...
He also loves wearing hoodies and we are told he will keep the hood on for a good portion of the day at daycare too.

Connor came home with his first friendship bracelet! I don't know why, but I thought this was so adorable.  He left it on for a couple days and then came home with a new colorful one with beads on Friday!

Our Week

We woke up to this one morning...

Connor took off his sleep sack during the night and put it over his head like a hood!

Connor and Daddy made a fort last weekend and we kept it up all week to play in.  I think after a few days I enjoyed it more than anyone!  I went inside and begged Connor to come in and play.

The ipad is getting lots of use now.  :::sigh::: Connor loves watching this one episode of Mickey when Santa comes and he's also been playing Paint Sparklers a lot too.

Connor went to his first dentist appointment on Thursday!  In preparation, we worked on brushing his teeth all week.  I was sad I couldn't be there for his first appointment, but Daddy said it went very well.  He has some white spots on his teeth so we got some special paste to put on every night.

On Friday night, daycare had their annual holiday party!  I surprised Connor by knocking on the window from outside.  He ran right over to the window and jumped up and down until I came into his classroom.

This was his first full week in the big kids room, so I asked him to show me around and point out some of his favorite toys.  He went right to the dress up clothes and grabbed the mailman hat.  His friend, Sienna, put on the policeman hat and let me take pictures of them!

They had some cookie decorating and ornament making activities that we participated in.  When Santa came, Connor got really scared and he started getting clingy.  "I scared!"  But we had fun and it was nice to spend a little extra time at daycare playing!

And he loves wearing his towel around his waist just like Dada!

Daddy let him use the ipad again.  He hasn't touched it in about 6 months, so I think there's no going back now.

Opening his first Hanukkah gift!  He got Elmo hand soap for the bathroom and a Big Brother shirt!

New Vacuum

Connor got a vacuum from Aunt Julie & Uncle Sam for his birthday and we finally took it out of the box and put the batteries in.  I love his face when he finally heard the vac turn on for the first time!

The vac doesn't really work that well and it doesn't roll on the carpet easily, but whatever...he thinks it's fun!

Adventures at ABT

I never really thought of this store as a place for kids to play, but it actually turned out to be very fun for Connor when we stopped by on Saturday.  We started out at the giant bubble maker where we tried to make a bubble while we stood inside of it.

There was a giant fish tank that Connor ran to as soon as he saw it.

The other parents were letting their kids sit on the ledge to see better, so...why not?

I tried to get a cute picture of us looking at the fish, but that failed.

As we were walking around, we heard some loud music and water splashing.  In the middle of the store, there was a show with the fountain with water splashing everywhere.  All the kids went running to it and Connor was right behind them.  We sat on the side and watching the water splash all over.


Finally, before we left, we went to go find the mini leather recliner that he sat in last summer.  We wanted to see the difference between last year and this year.  He's so much bigger and he knows what to do with a remote now!

Best Buy with Connor

Shopping with Connor is always a fun experience.  I usually put him in the shopping cart to keep him out of trouble, but Daddy wanted to carry him while we looked at speakers.  Connor loved trying on the glasses at the 3-D display.

Connor loved looking at all the big tv screens and playing with the remotes. I tried to get him to watch Toy Story on one of them, but he could hardly sit still when there was so much to look at around the store.  Daddy bought some new fancy speakers for the basement, so he was happy!

Selfies

Connor's newest love is when I turn my camera on my phone around so he can see himself in it.  He gets so excited to see his own face (and Mommy's) in the phone!  We were being silly last week and took some photos in the bathroom after dinner.

This was just to show off his outfit since he's STILL rockin' these 3-6 month skinnies and we just got this new polo shirt as a hand-me-down from someone at work.

Connor also got a blackberry cell phone for Hanukkah on Monday night.  His face when he opened it up was priceless!
