Our Week

New Lightning McQueen stickers were a hit! I saw them at the store and couldn't resist.  He's already asked to play with them three times since I brought them home.

Caylee & Grandpa

Connor has been playing "library" a lot recently in our room

Batman shirts!

On Wednesday, Caylee stayed home with Grammy since she had a fever and couldn't go to daycare.  They did yoga...

And took a nap together! Her fever went down, but her cold and cough didn't get better.  On Saturday, I took her to the doctor and found out she had an ear infection in her left ear.  Poor girl :(

Toga party while doing laundry!

Doesn't every brother brush his sister's hair with a pastry brush?

Our Week...with a Sick Family

Caylee's birthday week started out great with the kids playing together and having a great time!

On Wednesday, we celebrated her birthday with some cake and presents.  But by Thursday morning, she was throwing up and I had to pick her up from daycare early.  The flu was going around there last week, so she may have caught something from there.  She seemed fine after a long nap (when I took this photo), but she was on and off the rest of the week.

Dada stayed home with her on Friday, but then he got sick.  Grammy also caught it and was in bed all weekend.  Connor and I had some extra time to spend together since we were the only healthy ones.  Selfie!

Dada was feeling better for a little while on Saturday, so we all went to Connor's first basketball class.  The coach is awesome, so I'm really excited to see how much progress he makes over the summer.

On Saturday afternoon/evening, we said goodbye to my car.  As much as it can be a piece of junk, I've had it for 9 years and I'm not a person who likes change.  Both kids kinda grew up in that car and I've had it since I quit my first "real" job after college.  It's bittersweet to get rid of it, but I need something new and more safe for the kids.

The selfies didn't turn out very well, we were all tired, and it was raining...

On Sunday, Connor asked me to take a picture of him and Kitty snuggling!

Little Sick Girl

Poor Caylee left daycare on Tuesday afternoon with a high fever.  We did a lot of snuggling that night since she wasn't feeling good.

The fever just wouldn't go down and she was miserable.  She would hardly eat and slept most of Wednesday.  On Thursday, she still had a fever, so I stayed home with her.  Even when I tried to get her to play, she just wasn't into it.
A couple minutes of play with her new little house was all she could do before she started crying again.

On our way to the doctor, we stopped at the park for a little fresh air and she still wouldn't crack a smile.  Poor girl was just too sick :(  At the pediatrician, we found out she had an ear infection and there was a high risk of getting roseola with the fever.  Well, the next day, the fever finally went down and the roseola started.
She stayed home with Daddy on Friday and she was terribly crabby from the roseola.  Poor Daddy!  By Saturday, we could tell she was starting to feel better.  The rash started to go down, so we went out for dinner on Saturday night.  She still looks a little sad and unhappy, but she's getting better.

That rash is still there, but it's going away each day now.  Poor girl has been through so much this week :(

Sick.

Well, last week I caught whatever horrible virus Connor had...but even worse.  After getting it myself, I really felt bad that he had to go through that.  However, I think my case was significantly worse because I couldn't even move or eat for about 5 days.  Due to my sickness, I missed out on seeing my family all week which means a lack of photos :(

Friday, I made it back to work and cracked up when I saw this in Connor's classroom.  Most kids look forward to playing with their toys on weekends and my child wants to go shopping for fruit snacks.  We're so routine!

On Saturday, I was still feeling pretty sick, so I spent most of the day resting.  But on Sunday, I needed to get out, so I took Connor with me for some special time alone.  I missed my little guy! He did awesome shopping with me and he loved that the geese in the parking lot were "going shopping" with us too!

More of My Sick Family

Little Miss Caylee went back to the doctor on Saturday to get her ears checked.

After 2 rounds of meds, her infection is finally gone!  Unfortunately, she has a bad cold and her nose is running uncontrollably :(  Poor girl!

This has been Connor's reality for 4 days.  He caught the virus going around daycare and was stuck at home for 4 days.  It was so sad to see him so miserable and throwing up all day long.  Surprisngly, he got the hang of throwing up in the pot next to him and he even did it on his own overnight once!

By Sunday, he was feeling better, but still a little tired.  He spent a lot of time laying on the floor, watching tv, and drinking water.

After 3 months, the ipad came out of hiding when he accidentally found it.  It's been "at the store getting fixed" since November.  I felt bad that he had such a hard time being sick, so we let him play with it.

I also took out a new toy I had hiding in the basement since he couldn't play in the snow during the Blizzard of 2015 on Sunday.

Little did I know that I would catch his fun virus on Monday and then be stuck in bed the rest of the week.  Now I feel REALLY bad for him because it's a lot worse than I thought!

My sick & injured family

Last week was a hard week for us.  Everyone was sick or injured :(

Poor Caylee had been sniffling, so I had a feeling her ear infection wasn't gone.  She napped in the waiting room...such a little mess!

Those flushed little cheeks just look so sad :(  I was right about the ear infection, so the doctor gave us a new prescription for something new to try.  She's also been itching her head a lot and it's causing scabs and some bleeding, so the doctor recommended something for that too.

On Wednesday, I got a call around 11 that Connor hurt his foot and he wouldn't walk on it.  It's definitely not like him to refuse to play or be active, so we were worried he might have a serious injury.  I picked him up at daycare, took him home, and he still wouldn't put any weight on it.  After his nap, I figured he'd forget about it, but he woke up crying because he couldn't walk, so I took him to the pediatric ER for an x-ray.

He was such a trooper through the whole thing and I told him from the beginning that we were going to the doctor or he could try to walk.  It was his choice to go, so I knew he had to be in a lot of pain.  Armed with a Happy Meal, we hung out in the hospital room and went for some x-rays.  Fortunately, they couldn't see any fractures or breaks, but his foot was pretty swollen by the time we left.

I had to carry him back to the car and we were home in time for bed.  He went back to daycare the next day, while limping, but he's been brave!

Our Week

Matching chevron headbands for our New Years Day shopping trip

A little butt...poor girl had a bad rash last week :(

Caylee got to play the piano for the first time!

Poor baby Caylee wasn't feeling good all week.  Between her diaper rash, itchy head, runny nose, etc., she was a mess.

Finally, on Saturday, we found out she had an ear infection...and then I got mastitis.  The girls have been on the mend with our meds and hopefully we'll be better soon.

Our Week

Caylee modeling her pretty dress that I made.  She never got a chance to wear it and I wanted to take pictures of her in it before it got too small.

Grandpa took Connor to Barnes & Noble for a fundraiser and he had a great time with the Curious George jack-in-the-box and all the toys they had.  Grandpa said he loved all the attention from the adults!

Little stinker still fits through the cat door and escaped during his nap!  I didn't believe he could fit through it so I made him demonstrate for me.

Playing Legos with Grandpa

One morning, I caught this precious moment while getting ready for work...

Poor Connor got sick on Thursday afternoon :(  He hasn't been sick in over 2 years and he finally caught some sort of 24 hour flu.  He threw up twice and stayed home to rest on Friday.

Miss Caylee stayed healthy, but fell asleep at daycare with her feet hanging out of her crib!

Haha, my 3 faves watching tv on Saturday morning!
