Our Week

A much-needed haircut

I love that we gave him a mohawk and he didn't even know!  Daddy shaved it off right after I took the pic, but it was pretty funny.

Why doesn't my child go to sleep? He reads books with his flashlight in his bed!

Caylee in her tracksuit and Converse!  It was super cold this week, so we bundled up with really warm clothes.  She's also been scratching her cradle cap a lot, so I put hoods on her as much as I could to keep her hands away.

Seriously.

Connor kept warm with his Elmo slippers and Batman hoodie

Happy girl in her new skinny cords!

Some pics sent to me by Aunt Julie from Connor's excursions last weekend.  I was sick with mastitis and stuck in bed, so Julie & Grandpa took him to the museum to play.

Lego time with Grammy!

Our Week

He knew I was sad on Monday and he saw me crying so he wanted to hold my hand...and those lips!

After a long 3 day weekend and so much preparation to get ready to go back to work, we splurged on McDonalds for dinner on Monday.  Connor had his first Happy Meal!

Silly guy!

On Thursday, it was the start of football, so I dressed everyone in their football pajamas for story time.  Connor asked if Caylee could come with to read him a book that night.

She passed out while reading, but it was pretty cute!

Bedtime selfie!

Wearing her football hat passed down from big brother, Connor!
:::sigh::: Back to work means way less weekly photos :(

Our Week

Being silly in bed after a phone call with Grandpa who was in the hospital one night last week

Hanging out with Mama before the doctor confirmed that his ear infection never went away.  Looks like a second set of tubes are coming soon... :(

He tried on his new snowpants and boots!  I think he's obsessed!  He insisted on wearing his boots to daycare the next day too.

Not much reading going on, but he loves his sock monkey book!

New favorite "book"

Thanks to the new Carter's catalog, Connor has a new favorite "book."  He loves to turn the pages and point out the babies...again...and again!  On Saturday night, I finally got him to recognize the shoes and he said "goo."  That's my boy!
"Baby!"

Bathroom Reading

These photos are especially funny to me because there are a lot of similar ones from when I was a kid.  I used to read my favorite books on the bathmat next to the tub while my parents got dressed and took showers.  Connor is following in my footsteps!
A few days after I took these photos, we had to put this book away for later.  He already spit up twice IN the book and made the pages stick together.  Then he ripped some of the little flaps, so we decided it's a big boy book.

The Animal Book

We all know Connor loves animals, but he's very been very interested in books...until now!  This book of 100 animals somehow got pulled from his bookshelf and he suddenly became VERY obsessed with it.  For the last week or so, he opens it, turns all the pages, and points to the animals.  His absolute favorite spread is the first one of the household pets (cats, dogs, etc.)  He'll point to the animals and sometimes will say "Kitty."  We're trying to teach him the kitty and the dog to start with.  Unfortunately, the dog is colored more like our cat, so I think he believes the dog is Kitty, but we're working on it.

Connor has never been one to sit still, but he will for this book!  He loves to "read" it with Mommy and Daddy!

Last night, I sat with him for almost 20 minutes while he turned pages and we went through all the animals over and over.
OBSESSED.

Connor's First Passover

We had a big weekend with two holidays and lots of family time. The fun started on Friday night with Connor's first Passover. As soon as we got there, Great-Grandpa was ready to play!
Everyone gathered around to watch Connor & Great-Grandpa.

He had a wonderful time holding Connor and playing!

Grandma was very proud of how her Passover table looked, so I took a couple pictures before everyone sat down for the seder.

Right before dinner, Connor spit up all over so he got changed into his lion pajamas for dinner.

First, we did the blessing over the wine while Connor sat on Grandma's lap.

Connor went over to sit on Aunt Julie's lap for more of the seder.

He was very interested in the seder books we were reading from.

And then back to Mommy for the rest of the seder...
We had a great time!
