Our Week

Success! She figured out how to eat from her snack cup without getting her hand stuck!

A yummy Minion cookie from Aunt Julie

Girl figured out how to stand up in the tub, so we may have to retire the baby tub very soon

Playing grocery store one night after dinner and she figured out that the white button means the money drawer opens!

I taught Connor about the tv show, Big Brother, and he seemed to enjoy it because he thinks it's about a big brother.  Whatever works!  We snuggled and watched on Wednesday night!

Just hangin' at Walmart...

Her face after a bite of Daddy's beef jerky...

And more chillin' at Red Robin...

So precious after breakfast on Sunday

His new favorite game is "The Matching Game" and he loved that Curious George was on so he could identify pieces of the game with the show.

"Jersey Shore" has rubbed off on him

Last night, we were joking around when we realized that I've been teaching Connor "Jersey Shore" quotes for over a year and I didn't even know it.
It started with "Bath tiiiiime!" when he was a baby and it's expanded to everything we can think of. I added "Diaper tiiiime!" and a few others and now he says it for EVERYTHING. Last night, I told him we were going to put away laundry and he said, "Hanger tiiiime!"
So we've taken Pauly D's "T-shirt tiiiime!" and turned it into our family motto.  :)

Our Weekend

Another weekend of Mommy feeling sick, but Connor still had fun!  I went to a baby shower on Saturday and Daddy sent me this photo of Connor eating an apple.  Love it!

On Saturday afternoon, I wasn't feeling well, but I needed something to entertain Connor so I found the new winter craft sets I bought.  He actually really loved making them!  Maybe some artsy qualities are rubbing off now?

The snowman and penguin were his favorites!

On Sunday morning, the boys got haircuts and then I took Connor out to McDonalds to waste some time.  I don't think he was feeling very good because he didn't seem very interested in playing.  We ate apple slices together and then I tried to get him to play.  He went up into the play area once, but he wouldn't go back in again.  I asked him if he wanted to leave and he said he did.  :(  Poor guy...

We also hung around the house a lot and Connor watched some Mickey Mouse.  Guess who let him put his chair on the couch?  [Not me!]

More March Madness

Daddy couldn't be happier to be spending time with Connor in front of the tv and watching some basketball!  Connor is very quick to point out any basketball he sees and his eyes light up when he notices a basketball game on tv.
Snuggling on the couch while we watch!

March Madness in our house

No one is happier than Daddy that March Madness is in full swing at our house!  When we first met and I asked him what his favorite holiday was, he told me it wasn't Christmas, it was March Madness.  Daddy has probably looked forward to the day that his first born son would watch basketball with him for many, many years.  Right after we found out we were having a baby boy, he was already planning how they were going to spend days at Buffalo Wild Wings pigging out and watching basketball.

Lucky for Daddy, Connor seems to be a huge basketball fan!  He'd rather watch ESPN than any kids tv show.  When he's upset, he calms down when we put basketball on.  So to start the "holiday season" off right, we headed over to Buffalo Wild Wings for the boys to have some fun...and I tagged along for the food and beer.

And this is how March Madness looks in our house...

Baby TV

Finally!

My kid has never been able to sit still for more than about 2 seconds so watching 3 minutes of TV while Mommy goes potty has never been a possibility.

Until now...

Maybe this was just a fluke, but I tried some baby channel on Comcast on Sunday when I had a really bad sinus headache.  It worked!  They sang songs and he pointed, danced and laughed at the little kids on the screen.  He also REALLY loved when they showed kitties and sang some kitty song. Yeah, he was hanging out in his old car seat, but Mommy didn't mind...

Yeah Buddy!

Yeah, I'm kinda weird. I spent way too much time walking up and down downtown Wisconsin Dells looking for the perfect souvenir for Connor's first vacation. All the baby t-shirts were really cheesy, but I loved all the pop culture ones. Unfortunately, the iron-ons were all huge and wouldn't fit onto a tiny t-shirt. Finally, at the last store, (Daddy and Connor were more than done with my shopping) I found the perfect idea! I found some appliques for hats and asked if they could put it on a baby t-shirt. We all know I love me some Jersey Shore, so I just couldn't resist this...

Showin' off the pearly whites...

A twig is certainly fascinating...

Yay! Clap as the doggies walk by...

Ok, are we done yet? I'm over this!

Celebrity Babies vs. Normal Babies

It's annoying to read how celebrities buy their babies $600 rhinestone studded pacifiers, $300 designer outfits they'll only wear one time, or a $4000 crib. It's kinda nice to see that some of them are just like you and I. I'll sometimes catch a reality show where a baby is wearing Carter's and I'll secretly get excited because even they buy Carter's! (Not that reality show celebs make a ton of money, but some do...)

While I was pumping, I came across the son of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz with the same pacifier clip that we have! Yay for some "normal" parents who shop at Babies 'R' Us like the rest of us!

My kid loves his tv

We're obviously bad parents. I completely admit being obsessed with tv, but apparently, I'm already passing it on to my son!

Daddy, I must have the remote!
He keeps trying to grab for the remote and it's getting out of control. I caught him with it in his mouth when I turned my head for a minute.
And if he can't have the remote, he wants the tv guide...
Those inky fingers were fun to clean up!

Jersey Shore Love

Trying to roll over so he doesn't miss a minute of Jersey Shore and Deena's boobs.
