First Bath

Last week, we asked Connor to help us with Caylee's first bath.  I showed him photos of him in his blue bathtub when he was a baby.  I don't think he really understood, but he knew he was in the photos.

Daddy did most of the washing and soaping while I entertained Connor on the floor with books.  We wrapped her up in her new pink towel to dry her off.

A few minutes after the bath, I remember the best part of baby baths: fuzzy hair!
(And they smell great!)

Father's Day

Since Caylee came 2 week early, we weren't expecting her to be here for Father's Day! But she made her appearance early and we were lucky to have all out family around to celebrate.

She wore her "I love Daddy" onesie just for the special day!

My loves

Connor brought this home from daycare and I just about cried when I saw it.  It's so adorable and I love that they did this especially during a week when I was so tired, busy and emotional.

This is the most hilarious interview with Connor and I laugh every time I read it!

In the afternoon, Nana, Papa, and Aunt Julie came over to see Caylee.

And one final shock of the day when Nana brought over a photo of Grammy as a newborn in the hospital and put it next to the photo of Caylee.  Wow!

One Week Old

We went for our first pediatrician visit on Monday at 6 days old.  She's 6 lbs, 12 oz. and doing great!  She's eating every 3-4 hours, so she's almost back up at her birth weight.

Lots of sleeping pictures! She only opened her eyes for a few minutes each day.

Love this one!

On our way to get newborn photos done in some ducky pajamas

So peaceful! She sleeps for about 3-4 hours at a time, so that's not too bad for me.  I get up once or twice during the night to feed her and she nurses for about 30 minutes.  She falls asleep every minute or two, so it's quite a struggle to keep her awake enough to eat.  I constantly tickle her neck, feet, and tummy to wake her up!

Her umbilical cord stump fell off at a week old.  I left her here to grab a new shirt after she spit up and when I came back the stump was sitting next to her!
