Build a Bear

Another cold Saturday last weekend, so we decided to do something extra special with Connor.  He got a Build a Bear gift card for Christmas and it was the perfect day to use it.  I think he was a little overwhelmed when we first walked in, but he got excited when he saw all the stuffed animals.  He picked out a really soft doggy to build and we waited in line to get it stuffed.

A little hug for his new doggy before stuffing!

After he got stuffed, we gave him a bath and brushed his hair.

After much debate, he decided he wanted the dog to have a basketball more than he cared about any of the clothes.  We ended up going with a Bulls uniform that came with a basketball.  Connor probably loved making the birth certificate the most because we got to use a computer!

After bear making, we headed over to the play area and snacked on some Auntie Anne's pretzels.  Connor was awesome playing by himself without getting too clingy and scared!

Valentine's Day Outtakes

It took some hard work to get perfect photos for Daddy's Valentine's Day gift.  With the help of Grammy and Grandpa and some old toys in my childhood bedroom, we got some adorable poses!  But here are some of the funny ones we didn't use...

This was our favorite!  I was holding up the heart to my stomach so they could take a picture of my baby bump, so Connor grabbed his heart, pulled up his shirt, and did the same thing!

Valentine's Day

This was the first year that Connor's classroom had a Valentine's Day party.  They asked all the children to bring in Valentines for their friends, so I came up with a little craft we could do together.

Connor used his crayons to color on each Valentine and then I cut them out and put them on curly straws.

I also tied on a little box of Valentine stickers with a ribbon.

Apparently, the party was very successful because this was his collection when he got home on Friday!  Someone is very loved!  I also stopped by daycare on my way home on Friday to attend their party.  I think all the kids were pretty worn out from the their sugar high!

Nothing too fancy for dinner, but we headed over to Friday's for a quick meal and then ran to Target.

When we got home, we exchanged gifts as a family.

He got new headphones to use on the ipad with his "new" ears!

He also got a puppet Curious George book, but that was a big FAIL because he got scared and I had to hide it!

We got Dada a little tin of Reese's, some new socks...
...and this little wall hanging that we worked very hard on!  Connor was a great model with the help of Grammy and Grandpa!

Connor and Dada made me a little teddy bear card and promised to buy a vanity for the girls when we buy the new furniture for our bedroom.
