Taking Care of a Baby

What little girl doesn't want to learn how to be a mommy? Why not start now?  Although she thinks the baby bottle is for her, I taught her how to feed the baby with the bottle.

And then she took a turn...

We put together Caylee's doll stroller so she could practice walking with it, but Connor makes a good daddy too!
I also taught Caylee how to rock her baby and she's getting better at it!

Build a Bear

Another cold Saturday last weekend, so we decided to do something extra special with Connor.  He got a Build a Bear gift card for Christmas and it was the perfect day to use it.  I think he was a little overwhelmed when we first walked in, but he got excited when he saw all the stuffed animals.  He picked out a really soft doggy to build and we waited in line to get it stuffed.

A little hug for his new doggy before stuffing!

After he got stuffed, we gave him a bath and brushed his hair.

After much debate, he decided he wanted the dog to have a basketball more than he cared about any of the clothes.  We ended up going with a Bulls uniform that came with a basketball.  Connor probably loved making the birth certificate the most because we got to use a computer!

After bear making, we headed over to the play area and snacked on some Auntie Anne's pretzels.  Connor was awesome playing by himself without getting too clingy and scared!

Touch a Truck

On Saturday, we went to our first Touch a Truck event.  Connor is just starting to be more interested in cars, motorcycles, and school buses, so I thought he might enjoy it.

I think he was a little overwhelmed at first with all the giant trucks, lots of people, and all the noise coming from the vehicles.

They gave out little constructions hats and Connor loved wearing his!

I love the pictures of him in the garbage truck seat because it reminds me how he still has a very long way to go before his feet touch the pedals!

I was SO excited when I saw that they had a street sweeper!  I've always had a childhood dream of riding in one and I used to love watching it drive by our house.  I made Connor wait in a long line with me, so we could get our turn inside.

Connor's favorite was probably the old tractor.  I tried to explain that Old McDonald uses his tractor on his farm, but I don't know if he understood!
