Daycare Summer Party

On Friday, our daycare had an End of Summer party to celebrate the next school year and also the new renovations at the center.  I arrived a little early and played with Connor and his friends in the playground until the party started.  He could hear the music from behind the fence and was eager to get out there and party!  We went around to the party and he was the first one in line to get is very first TATTOO!

I was beyond shocked that he knew exactly how to do this, and I'm pretty sure this was the first time he's ever done this.  I asked him what picture he wanted, he picked one out, and then he held out his arm to get it put on.  Umm, this kid must be a child genius or something.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the kid tattoos and I've never worn one because they look icky to me, but I don't deprive him of this.

He was so proud of it when he saw how it turned out and then he went around and pointed it out to all of his teachers.

They had 2 childrens' singers that performed and played music for the kids and Connor was right out there with his friends and teachers dancing.

The older kids were more into it, but Connor and his friend Keanu tried to join in as well.

The singers asked them to do a train so they all lined up to go around the party.  Unfortunately, Connor broke the train (see below in green) because he didn't really understand it, and all the older kids in front of him kept going.

After the older kids kept going on their train, he finally figured out how to do it and grabbed his friend to make their own mini train!

All the teachers ran over to take pictures of their little tiny train!

Our Week

Being sick last week kinda took a toll on me, so I don't have as many cute photos.  But there were several that were worth sharing...

Connor loves his new baseball and mitt and he's starting to try to catch using the mitt.  Unfortunately, I think he's a lefty, so the righty mitt is a little hard for him.  He also tends to put his hand in the wrong way.

We took a walk to the park and I took some photos while he wandered around...

Little guy in a big world...

I've been trying to take a photo of him on these benches for awhile.  They didn't come out perfectly, but they're still cute.

The guilty look on his face after I found him with his bag of goldfish dumped on the floor

On Thursday night, we had dinner with the family for Rosh Hashanah.  Connor did pretty good considering it was late and he already had a full day at daycare.  He pigged out on the hummus and pita bread while we waited for dinner.

He ate his mac & cheese while the rest of us ate the traditional food.  He went home early to go to bed, but he got to spend some time playing with Emmett too.

First poopy on the potty!

So proud of Connor!  I'm sad I wasn't there it witness it because I was sick in bed, but I heard the end of it from down the hall.

He was eating lunch and suddenly said, "Poopy," to Daddy.  He asked Connor if he had to go and if he'd like to use the potty.  Usually, when we ask, he says he wants to go in his diaper, but this day was different.  They went upstairs and Connor got excited to put his potty seat on the potty and sit on it.  And usually, he sits on it for a second and then gets off and says he's done.  But this time, he sat for a moment and went!  I heard the cheering in the bathroom and made myself get out of bed to go see it.  He got some hugs, high fives, and he got to flush the toilet all by himself!
