Milestones at 13 months

Somehow, all these big milestones are happening in such a short time!  She's growing up before our eyes and it's all happening so fast.  I feel like 13 months seems to be such a momentous age for her.

• I went upstairs to change Caylee's sheets and Connor ran up the stairs.  Caylee crawled in behind him which means she somehow crawled up the stairs all by herself! I didn't even know she could get up one step!

• Officially waving hello and goodbye

• First tooth popped

• Working on standing by herself

• Drank from a straw

• First taste of German food (brats, sauerkraut, etc)

• Trying to talk! Sometimes we think she's saying random words, but who knows? We thought we heard Connor a couple times which wouldn't be surprising since we yell it so often in our house.

• Next week, she'll spend her first few nights away from me :(  It's going to be hard for both of us (or maybe just me), but it's probably time to do it.

First Tooth

I finally got a photo of her first tooth now that it's sticking out a little bit!

First tooth coming in...

On June 30, we starting to see just a tiny little sliver of tooth!  We can feel it under her gums, but it's very hard to actually see.  She's been a little crabby at home, but we must just be special, because she's been her happy self at daycare as usual!

Lil' Tooth Brusher

He loves copying Mommy and Daddy by brushing his teeth when we do.  As soon as he sees us brush, he motions for us to get his on the bathroom counter.  He'll walk around for a few minutes while "brushing" and then hand it back and say, "All done!"
Glad he's getting started with this early!  Maybe he'll follow in Mommy's footsteps of no cavities!

Surprise teeth!

It was Friday, March 1, when we were at Target and Daddy was trying to make Connor laugh while we walked up and down the aisles.  He spotted some new pearly ones in Connor's mouth.  Where did these come from?

He hasn't gotten a new tooth in awhile, so he was due for one.  We had no idea that both of his upper molars were already almost halfway out!  What a champ!  Since then, I've been watching them and they're just about out now.  And I thank my awesome son for not letting teething bother him one bit!
