Our First Father's Day

This weekend was Daddy's first Father's Day. Since this was one of the few weekends we had free because all the grandparents were away, we ended up getting a lot of things done around the house. But we also had time for some family fun time!

We took 2 trips to Home Depot, 1 to Lowe's, and also hit a few other places over the weekend. Connor absolutely loves riding in the shopping cart and looking around at all the interesting things in stores. I discovered that he enjoys Kohl's the most because he can ride facing the front and see everything going on. It also helps Mommy because he can play with random clothes and tags while Mommy shops!
So here we are at Lowe's picking out heavy-duty shelves for the basement...

While Connor slept and/or played, we got so much stuff done around the house. Daddy finished putting up the trim and Mommy painted some sample colors and touched up the white trim. We also added mulch and garden lights to the front yard and some solar lights to the backyard.

Daddy got his Father's Day gift which was this cute frame that I couldn't resist buying. He also got a cute card and a new plaid shirt for work.
Connor was too rowdy to smile in the morning, but he did enjoy gnawing on my leg while we played in bed.
Sunday afternoon, Mommy and Connor went shopping for bathroom accessories and dresses so Daddy could stay home and watch golf. He worked very hard all weekend so he deserved some relaxation time!
