Our Weekend

We promised Connor that we could open up another one of his birthday gifts, so he picked his new Batman puzzle from Aunt Julie & Uncle Sam.

This turned out to be a lot harder than we expected since the colors were the same throughout the entire puzzle, but he was able to do all 48 pieces with a little help from us.

Yay!  He was so proud when he finished it!

On Sunday, we did a little coloring in our bedroom in the morning.

He even invited me to color with him on the other side of the book.

Then we headed over to his friend, Keanu's, birthday party!  All his friends from daycare were there, so it was really fun to see them play in another setting.  Connor surprised me by eating pizza and 2 helpings of grapes for lunch.

He was a little nervous to play on the indoor treehouse at first, but he quickly warmed up and had a blast playing with his friends!

Our Week

Connor opened up one of his new birthday toys which was a Crayola  coloring set with markers that only work on the special paper.

It might have only lasted for a short time, but I love coloring sessions!

Spitting has gotten worse in the last week or two, so there's lots of baths needed for this little girl!

Passed out after a fun day at school!

Fuzzy, but I had to grab a quick pic of Kitty watching over his baby sister one night.

We were in shock that Connor agreed to try a cheddar sausage with chili and cheese on it for dinner one night.  He saw Daddy eating his and wanted to make one of his own!

Connor and I had a conversation during the week about how Caylee needed some sunglasses and I came across some cheap pairs at The Children's Place when I was out.  So here's her first pair of pink glitter sunnies!

They're a little too big, but they fit on her head!

On Friday, we went to the End of Summer Party at daycare and Connor gave Caylee a pair of sunglasses to wear too.  All the teachers thought it was hilarious!

Connor played in the little Walgreens shopping area during the party.  My little shopper!

Our Weekend

On Saturday morning, Connor had his first new sports class.  This one has more instruction and structure, so I'm excited to see how much he learns from it.  They're starting with soccer for a few weeks, then t-ball, and then basketball.

Their first lesson was dribbling

I ran back and forth between watching him and sitting by Caylee in the shade.  We had to do a quick outfit change from all her spit!

About halfway through, they learned how to trap the ball.

Right after class, we headed straight to Touch-a-Truck!  I was really excited for this because he's been so into trucks and vehicles recently, but all the people and loud noises really scared him.  He hardly wanted to leave our sides and wouldn't walk around at all.  This was pretty much all I could get him to do besides him begging to go home :(  To make him feel better, we stopped at the playground on our way out, but he fell and started bleeding from his lip and nose! Poor guy!

On Sunday, I took a risk and drove both kids to Toys R Us for a little fun at the store.  The plan was to exchange a couple of birthday toys and he could pick out a new Cars toy since he just watched the movie.  He buckled himself into the cart and then just wanted to play with toys I handed him and then had me put them back on the shelf.  He never really understood the fact that he could bring one home!  After awhile, I realized this was probably better, so I just picked out a couple things on my own and bought them with his merchandise credit.  Now he has a couple new toys when we need to pull something out for a special day!

This is how Caylee feels about football on Sundays...Me too.
