Mini Christmas with Connor

Since Mommy spent Christmas day being sick, we had to make do with a mini Christmas celebration in bed at Uncle Chad & Aunt Charly's house. Around noon, you went to Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa T's house to see everyone while I stayed back and rested. But when you got back, we had some fun taking photos and opening gifts in bed!

Daddy let me dress you up since he felt bad that I was sick.
I got this fun reindeer headband from work and couldn't resist trying it on you!

We opened the gifts from the T family in bed. Here's your first $20 bill from Great-Grandpa & Great-Grandma T for your bank.

We tried to show you how to pull on the wrapping paper to open your gifts.

You love bows and ribbon!

Everything must be tasted before playing with it

Daddy kept sitting you up so you could watch and you kept falling over!

Fun with ribbon!

I felt so bad that I couldn't be with you and see the family on Christmas, but I'm glad we got to have our own little celebration later.

Connor's First Hanukkah

The whole family was very excited to celebrate your first Hanukkah together.

Dressed in his Hanukkah bib (that I bought probably 4 years ago in anticipation for this event) and Hanukkah socks from Aunt Julie, we headed over to my parents' house.

My favorite gift of the night was this gorgeous necklace from Aunt Julie!

Your favorite gift was a mirror from Grandma & Grandpa!
You've been sitting up a lot more now so we wanted you to show off for everyone. But you also tend to spit-up a lot when you sit up! Big mess!

Here's you and Daddy checking out your first truck from Grandma & Grandpa. It lights up and makes noise and you seemed pretty interested in it!

Everyone was begging for smiles so you had to give them a bunch!

It was a fun night for your first Hanukkah! As usual, you were the hit of the party and everyone was fighting over you! I wish it could have lasted longer so you could have experienced more of the fun before you went to sleep. Next year, maybe you'll get to try a latke!

Holidays at Home

Before we headed out for our weekend of holiday fun, we had our own little celebration at home.

My favorite gift purchase of the season was your sock monkey ornament. I went crazy when I saw it at the store!

So for our family celebration, we both got dressed up in our Santa hats and posed for some pictures.

We tried to show you how to hold your gifts and open them.

You got a teething paci in your stocking from Santa!
You'll be needing one of these very soon!

Anything you could get in your mouth went right in. Ribbon is yummy!

Daddy got some new cutting boardsMommy got you a Bradley University teddy bear

Kitty got...a gift bag?!?

He also got a new mouse toy

I was told not to do this, but I couldn't resist.
You also got some cute new clothes, pajamas and a high chair! Mommy got a fancy new Mac laptop from you and Daddy. Daddy also got some new workout pants, cuff links, a refill for his fancy pen, and various other things. We had a lot of fun teaching you to pull on wrapping paper to open your gifts! Mommy had fun putting bows on your head!
