Fun Family Weekend

Despite the big snow we got on Friday night and Saturday, we headed out to Home Depot for the kids workshop to make a racecar.

Connor and Daddy built the car themselves!

I helped put the stickers on it while Daddy did the hammering and gluing.

When the car was done, Connor got to race it!

He was so proud of his new car and he loved wearing his orange apron!

In the afternoon, we all bundled up and went outside to play in the snow.

Connor pulled out every summer toy from the garage to play with.

His favorite (and mine) was the lawnmower that he used as a snowblower.  A couple people even drove by and laughed as they saw him follow Daddy around with it.

On Sunday, we promised Connor a special treat at the grocery store.  He got to push his own shopping cart!  He did awesome with staying by us and helping us put the food in the cart.

He even helped put the groceries on the counter!

Connor's impromptu "birthday"

One night last week, Connor declared that it was his birthday.  He insisted on getting a candle, putting it in his mac & cheese and singing "Happy Birthday."

I figured I might as well go along with the fun...and I promised we could do it again for his half birthday in a few weeks!

Some help from Dada with blowing out the candle!

19 weeks

More food porn...

I tried White Castle sliders for the first time on Sunday...and they were so good that we got them again on Saturday! In love!

I've also been enjoying my vegetarian sushi for lunch at work about once a week.  This week, I had a bagel & cream cheese as my morning snack and that's been filling me up to make it until lunch.

It's been a little backtracking with the morning sickness this week, unfortunately.  I've been more nauseous and smells are bothering me more.  About every day at 10 am, I start feeling sick and need to eat.  I was kinda hoping I was over this, but I guess not.  I should know better because the same thing happened with Connor.
I am SO excited to find out the gender on Tuesday.  I may or may not have bought a few boy and girl things already because they were such a good price.  I'll just return or Ebay whatever I don't need.  I refrained from going shopping this weekend now that we're SO close.  Eeek!
