Fun Family Weekend

Despite the big snow we got on Friday night and Saturday, we headed out to Home Depot for the kids workshop to make a racecar.

Connor and Daddy built the car themselves!

I helped put the stickers on it while Daddy did the hammering and gluing.

When the car was done, Connor got to race it!

He was so proud of his new car and he loved wearing his orange apron!

In the afternoon, we all bundled up and went outside to play in the snow.

Connor pulled out every summer toy from the garage to play with.

His favorite (and mine) was the lawnmower that he used as a snowblower.  A couple people even drove by and laughed as they saw him follow Daddy around with it.

On Sunday, we promised Connor a special treat at the grocery store.  He got to push his own shopping cart!  He did awesome with staying by us and helping us put the food in the cart.

He even helped put the groceries on the counter!

Snow much fun!

Our first big snow fell this weekend and Connor was very excited to go out and play in it!  He got his first shovel for Hanukkah and he ran right out to help Daddy with the driveway.

He quickly got bored of shoveling, so we played in the snow on the side.  Daddy threw piles of snow on him and he thought it was funny!

Oops.  Daddy threw too much!

Connor pulled out the wagon from the garage and asked me to take him for a ride.  This is extra tiring when there's snow on the ground and I'm pregnant, but we did it!

We also took out the slide and tried to slide down it into the snow piles!

We had a great time outside together!

Snow!

It hasn't really snowed that much this winter (which I'm VERY ok with), but I wanted to at least play outside in the snow once or twice so Connor could experience it.  We both got out of work a little early the day it snowed, so we played a little in the front yard while we shoveled the driveway.
I hate to admit that it was way more fun than I remembered!  He loved it and it made me enjoy snow a little bit more! :)
I decided to pretend it was spring and let Connor ride his bike in the driveway!

He LOVED when we "buried" him in the snow piles!  He giggled and kept asking us to do it over and over again.
