Mother's Day Part 1

At daycare on Friday, they had some special Mother's Day activities at pick-up time for all the kids and their moms to participate in.  Connor helped decorate a big poster that said, "We love our moms!"

He also brought home an adorable little purple flower that he planted and decorated for me.

He made me a card with his handprints on it and a little poem inside.

Thanks, Connor!  Mommy loves you!

Our week with a sick child

Connor just seemed off all last week.  We thought he might have been feeling sick because he was a little crabby and wasn't eating like he normally does.  Our suspicions were right when he started to get a cold towards the end of the week and then I caught it on Mother's Day.  But anyway, we tried to make him comfortable and make him giggle all week so he would feel better.

He got a special plate of mac & cheese for dinner when he wouldn't eat anything else.

We even had a very quick snuggle!  This hasn't happened in probably 9 months so it was extra special for me!

He wouldn't even eat his fancy grilled cheese from Smashburger, but he loved his milk!

On Saturday, we ran some errands and then stopped to have lunch at Jimmy Johns.  He was a total grump, but he shocked both of us by eating some of Daddy's jalopeno chips!

Our silly boy found the snow brush for the car and thought it was a child-sized broom!

His naps were not as long as usual, but I left him in his bed to hang out for awhile so he could get some extra rest.

This is his new favorite book and I think it sums up his day very well!
