Mommy & Me Play Time

Daddy was in New York City last week for work, so Connor and Mommy had some special time together. Wednesday, he still wasn't feeling good so we had to skip our dinner plans and Mommy had a beer. Thursday and Friday, we had a dance party, used the swing in the backyard and had lots of giggles! We played on the playmat for the first time with Connor sitting. I think it became a whole new toy now that he can see everything from a different view!

And some naked time...
Notice the drool hanging down his stomach...

Shopping Carts & Sock Monkeys

Last Sunday, I attempted to take Connor for a walk at the lake by our house. We drove there, I got everything out, filled up my water, got him settled, walked about 30 seconds, and then realized it was way too cold for him. (Note the fleece pajamas and winter hat!) So we headed to Target for an indoor walk!

I finally got a chance to try out the little fleece shopping cart cover I made for him. He was still recovering from his latest ear infection and wasn't too happy. I had to find something to keep him occupied while we walked around, so the baby sock monkey did the trick! We also found a dog toy squeaky sock monkey later on so we switched to that. His favorite was probably the measuring cups from the Dollar Spot section and I bought those once he ripped the price tag off!

Portraits

I was at the mall about a month ago and signed up for a contest to win a free photo session. I completely forgot about it until they called and told me I won! So with only a few days until it expired, we ran over to JCPenney to get some 8 month photos done.
Just as we expected, he would not nap until we were at the mall and walking around. So we had to wake him up from his nap early and he was not very happy about it. He was still sleepy and not acting like himself during the photos. But as soon as we were done shooting, he was happy and giggly! We got a few good shots in his little preppy outfit.
With the free sheet of photos and free sitting fee, we ordered a few things. I found a JCPenney gift card to pay for the rest so it ended up costing us nothing and we got a few good photos.
