Our Weekend

On Saturday morning, Connor had his first new sports class.  This one has more instruction and structure, so I'm excited to see how much he learns from it.  They're starting with soccer for a few weeks, then t-ball, and then basketball.

Their first lesson was dribbling

I ran back and forth between watching him and sitting by Caylee in the shade.  We had to do a quick outfit change from all her spit!

About halfway through, they learned how to trap the ball.

Right after class, we headed straight to Touch-a-Truck!  I was really excited for this because he's been so into trucks and vehicles recently, but all the people and loud noises really scared him.  He hardly wanted to leave our sides and wouldn't walk around at all.  This was pretty much all I could get him to do besides him begging to go home :(  To make him feel better, we stopped at the playground on our way out, but he fell and started bleeding from his lip and nose! Poor guy!

On Sunday, I took a risk and drove both kids to Toys R Us for a little fun at the store.  The plan was to exchange a couple of birthday toys and he could pick out a new Cars toy since he just watched the movie.  He buckled himself into the cart and then just wanted to play with toys I handed him and then had me put them back on the shelf.  He never really understood the fact that he could bring one home!  After awhile, I realized this was probably better, so I just picked out a couple things on my own and bought them with his merchandise credit.  Now he has a couple new toys when we need to pull something out for a special day!

This is how Caylee feels about football on Sundays...Me too.

3 months!

All her photos came out so cute this month now that she's smiling so much!  She loves to smile especially when she's sitting up which is probably her favorite thing to do. If she's crying, we just sit her up and she stops instantly (unless she's hungry).  She started her first week of daycare and she did wonderfully.   We brought 3 oz. bottles and she was up to 5 oz. bottles by the end of the week!  Such a little piggy!  She takes about 3 naps throughout the day and plays in between.

She's still sleeping through the night and goes to bed at about 8-8:30.  She wakes up around 6 am when she gets hungry or needs the pacifier.  I was hoping to move her to her crib by this point, but we're keeping her in our room for a little longer because Connor hasn't been sleeping as soundly as he used to.  She's not waking up at night, so it doesn't really bother us anyway.  I love to watch her sleep in the morning when I'm getting ready for work too.

In other 3 month news, she found her right hand!  She's been chewing on it a little lately which is pretty cute.  She still hasn't found the left one, but I bet that's coming any day now.  Her hair has also lightened a little, so it will be interesting to see if it ends up being a lot lighter than it was when she was born.

I can't believe she's already hitting the 3 month mark.  So big!

Our Week

He knew I was sad on Monday and he saw me crying so he wanted to hold my hand...and those lips!

After a long 3 day weekend and so much preparation to get ready to go back to work, we splurged on McDonalds for dinner on Monday.  Connor had his first Happy Meal!

Silly guy!

On Thursday, it was the start of football, so I dressed everyone in their football pajamas for story time.  Connor asked if Caylee could come with to read him a book that night.

She passed out while reading, but it was pretty cute!

Bedtime selfie!

Wearing her football hat passed down from big brother, Connor!
:::sigh::: Back to work means way less weekly photos :(
