Connor's Spider Funny

I'm cracking up at my desk right now as I type this...

Last night, Connor had some fluid in his ear and I wanted to get a closer look.  I told him I had to get the spider out of his ear and tried to "grab it," but really, I was cleaning the puss out.  When I was done, I told him it ran under the dresser and he didn't look fast enough to see it.  Oh no! So this morning, Daddy just told me that Connor is now telling everyone he has a spider in his ear.

We've been saying "Nakey time!" in a sing-songy voice when we were getting Connor undressed for his bath for awhile now.  At some point, we started saying, "Bath time!" when we're trying to get him upstairs and into the bathroom.  At random times, we would change it to something else such as, "Dinner time," "Jammies time," "Diaper time," etc.  It's absolutely adorable that Connor has caught on and will now sing his own versions.

Some of the versions he's done recently are:
• Teeth time!
• Shopping cart time!  (Shopping cart obsession)
• Milk time!

It's so interesting how he's figured out what it means and he can apply it to his daily life!

Harvest Fest

On Saturday, Connor and I attended an Autumn Harvest Fest put on by the park district.  I was really worried it was going to rain, but it stopped just in time for the festival.  We arrived early to get a good parking spot and played at the playground until the fest started.

I got him to post in front of the big fountain.  Adorable!

We were first in line for the petting zoo when it opened and Connor ran right up to the gates to stick his hand in.  All the other kids stood back and he just helped himself to some licks and pets.

When we got into the pen, Connor fed the goats some food and got bombarded by all of them when they ran up to him.

One of the petting zoo workers showed us a hedgehog!

Then they announced that the hay ride was started, so we hurried over to the line so we could be on the first one.  This was Connor's first hayride, so he seemed a little confused, but he loved looking at the horses pulling the wagon.

We also did some pumpkin crafts, met some dogs, and walked around to see the other activities.  So much fun!
