"Read book."

Connor's first real sentence!

We thought he might have been saying it earlier this week, but we weren't sure.  Yesterday at daycare, the teacher confirmed that he was saying it all day and must have picked it up from the older kids.  He's really starting to enunciate the K part in book which is really great because he's starting to pick up the sounds more.

Daycare Highlights

I'm starting to notice a pattern.  In every photo of them reading stories, he's always right in front.  Am I surprised? Not really.  He's such an attention whore!
Playing with sand (and then giving himself a bad rash on his hands)...

I've heard that this is his semi-girlfriend, Sienna.  Unfortunately, she's one of the oldest, so she'll probably be moving to the next room soon.  They like to wave goodbye to each other every day when they leave.  His best guy friend is probably Alex who is just about the same age as him.  He also loves to wave when they say bye-bye to each other.

The Tree House

I'm always looking for new ideas on the weekends for fun things to do with Connor.  I found a park district indoor playground called the Tree House that has a really nice area for kids to play.  They have a giant ball pit with a slide, but it's for older kids, but they also have a lot of little things to climb on.  It's a lot cleaner than going to McDonalds and the parents there were a lot more friendly.

His favorite thing to play on was the big red fire truck.  He spent a lot of time "driving" by turning the steering wheel and honking the horn.

There was also a little blue slide that he went down at least 20 times...
His other favorite was the teeter-totter crocodile.  He rode it with a bunch of the other kids there, but when no one else wanted to go on, I sat in the middle and rocked it myself.  My poor back!  He kept saying "row row" since it was almost like rowing the boat they have at daycare.
We will definitely be going back to this place again!  Loved it!
