New Years Eve with 2 small children is definitely not a huge party, but when you're tired and still have to work all day, I like being able to hang out with some friends at a child-proof house. It was really nice to get some "time off" to have some drinks with my friends and let our kids play together. All the babies are getting so big!

The toddlers practically babysit themselves...yeah, right! There was the usual bickering and drama, but they did pretty well together. Connor jumped right in despite being pretty upset on the drive there. He love the train ride toy!
He spent a lot of time playing in the kitchen and cooked me some food. I asked him if I could have special prize like he always asks us and he said, "You have to eat ALL your dinner, Mama!" Good kid. Just like I always say.
At 9:00, they had a special surprise for all the kids when they did a countdown and threw balloons and bubbles from the second floor. All the parents and kids had no idea, so it was a huge surprise for all of us! It was adorable!
Connor jumped up and down when he saw the balloons and bubbles falling and he kept a balloon to bring home.
That blue balloon has been making its way around our house for the past few days :)
And I think we were all in bed and asleep by about 9:30 or 10:00. Happy New Year!
