St. Joseph - Day 3

After breakfast, we went to a small amusement park.  We were pretty much the only people there even though it was a Saturday, so it turned out to be really nice for us.  We were able to do all the activities we wanted without waiting or Connor getting scared.

Since neither Connor nor I have ever been in a go-kart, we went first on the ride.  I could tell he was a little uneasy about it, but it also helped that we were the only ones there, so he didn't know what to expect.

He did really well and we drove around for a few minutes together!

After driving, Connor and Dada played 18 holes of mini golf.  Again, with no one else there, they were able to take their time and Connor got to run around a little and throw his ball.

Caylee and I just watched...and sunbathed...

And took selfies...

Dada and Connor took a ride on the go-kart!

After a good nap...
We went to the beach!

I forgot how messy sand was, but we did pretty good!  We didn't actually go in the water, but we played in the sand, ate snacks, and went on the beach playground.

Weekend in St. Joseph - Day 1

On Wednesday night, we left after work/school and stopped at our usual oasis for dinner.  In line at Subway, Connor & Caylee had a little tickling fun!  Connor had his own little turkey & cheese sandwich and Caylee had a hamburger for dinner, but she preferred Connor's apples.  We got to the hotel pretty late at night and went right to bed.

The next morning, it was a little cold and rainy, but we stopped at the beach just so Connor could see it.  He's been asking to go to the beach for weeks, so I wanted to see his reaction when he first saw it.  When we drove up, I pointed it out and he said, "Are you kidding me?!?"

It was supposed to rain, so we headed out to the Curious Kids Museum.  They had an adorable little farm area for babies and toddlers, so that was perfect for Caylee.

Connor loved the water table!

The veterinary area was a lot of fun and he gave the animals a check-up

She's like one of the animals!

I couldn't resist the old school poster!

Caylee, my little news anchor!

Fire man Connor with the whole outfit including boots!
And back to the hotel for lunch and a long nap...
