Our Weekend
Over the weekend, Connor was excited to have Grandma & Grandpa T staying with us! He showed them how his new play room is shaping up and grabbed Grandpa right away to ask him to read a book.

It was very unseasonably cold over the weekend, but that didn't stop Grandma from taking Connor on some great run and walks around the neighborhood! They bundled up and went out on both Saturday and Sunday. When she takes him for a walk, they always stop to look for tennis balls in the grass and he usually comes home with a few treasures to show us.
Daddy did some yardwork and Connor jumped up on the ladder now that he's an expert at ladder climbing.
Ladder conquered!
Mommy made tacos for dinner on Saturday and Connor surprisingly wanted his own taco! He also loved mixing his yogurt with refried beans. (Ewww!)
On Sunday, Connor showed off his new car "slide" and sang Happy Birthday to impress everyone.
For lunch, Mommy made spaghetti and Connor helped me cook by carrying his own pot and spoon.

Visit to the Budweiser Clydesdales
Last week, the Budweiser Clydesdales made their way to the downtown area right by our house, so Mommy got out of work a little early so we could go see them. I picked up Connor from daycare and talked about "horsies" during the car ride. When we got there, there were a LOT more people than I expected, but we pushed our way through so we could get a glimpse of them before they started on their walk through the downtown area. I held Connor up as high as I could so he could see them. He kept saying, "Neigh! Neigh!"

They paraded by us and then we waited for them to come by again. Now that I knew what to expect, I found a spot right on the curb up front so we could see them when they came by again. Connor and I had a little snack while we waited for them.
Here they are again! We had the perfect spot to get a good view.
I think there was so much chaos that Connor didn't really understand it all, but he definitely noticed the horses each time they went by. He was also very excited about all the people that brought their dogs to the parade and the fountain spraying water right behind us.
It was a really fun afternoon for us!
