A morning at Michigan City Beach

Over the weekend, we went on our family summer vacation to New Buffalo, Michigan.  We arrived on Thursday night so we could get an early start on the fun Friday morning.  When we woke up, we had breakfast and drove right across the border to Michigan City, Indiana.  The zoo didn't open for another hour (stupid time zone change!) so we spent some time at the beach across the street.

Connor has never been to the beach, so it was really funny to see him react to it.  He was really scared at first and had to hold Daddy's hand.

He didn't even want to walk on the sand, so he preferred being held by one of us instead.

We walked down the dock to get closer to the boats and ducks swimming in the water.

It was a little cold with the wind, so we walked over to the playground for something Connor could enjoy a little more!  All we have to do is say, "Slide!" and he's ready to go!

Our week

Some photos from last week...
21 months old and he still fits through the cat door...

I pay him in kisses to vacuum the house.

A really bad selfie, but we tried...

Mowing the lawn with Daddy

Like father, like son!

He found his sunglasses in the suitcase, took them out, put them on, and then ran over to me to show me his "glashes."
Stylin' kid!

Play time last week

Connor and Daddy got home early a couple times last week so we had some extra time to go to the park after dinner!

Connor got a chance to watch his first baseball game (or 3 minutes of it) and he was very interested in it.  The boys looked like they were about 5 years old and it was absolutely adorable to watch.  Connor is going to be out there in a few short years too!
Daddy probably doesn't want this photo on the blog, but it was too funny not to post.  Connor thought this was hysterical too!

He brought his football outside one night and Daddy tried to show him how to kick it.

And then he went back to his old favorite...b-ball!  He calls it b-ball and we have no idea where he got that from.
