The weekend felt strange. For once, we had nothing that we had to do and we didn't have any scheduled plans. Saturday morning, we stopped at a new pet store we've never been to before. It was a bit of a drive, but definitely worth it for Connor. He was in love with all the doggies and walked up and down the aisles screaming, "Doggie! Doggie!" There was only one kitty, but he didn't seem to mind with all the cute doggies to keep him busy. We also took a walk around the store a few times to visit the fish, birds, bunnies, etc. He was also pretty interested in the birds because they were in an open cage on his level so he could get right up next to the glass to see them.

He took a nice long nap after lunch and I snapped a photo just because he's so cute when he sleeps. If only he could keep the blanket on...

In the afternoon, we did a little shopping and then picked up dinner at Portillo's for Daddy who was working hard all day in the basement. After dinner, we hung out in the living room and Connor was his usual crazy self! Silly boy!

On Sunday morning, something very special happened. It took 18 months, but we finally got Connor to hang out in bed with us for a bit so we didn't have to get up! What kept him occupied? ESPN.

When we finally got up, we went to the indoor playground at the mall. We had fun there a few weeks ago so I figured it was something easy we could do. (Is it spring yet? I wanna play outside!)

We had a little snack at the playground and then I let him roam around the mall a little since it wasn't too busy. As soon as I let him through the gate to wander, he walked right into the Lego store! He was having a blast running around and picking up all the little blocks they had for kids to play with. Then he got ahold of some of the smaller pieces and I decided it was time to go!
We did make up for it later by playing with the big blocks at our house though.
